Meet Dr. James Roles
Joining the Family Profession
Dr. James Albert Roles is one of six chiropractors in his family. He grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada, where his parents owned and operated the Rummel Motel on the Las Vegas Strip. Dr. Jim’s primary passions growing up were art, woodworking, snow skiing, and friends. In school, Dr. Jim unknowingly had dyslexia and ADHD, which challenged his academic focus. It wasn’t until he had a severe hand injury that he decided to change his life by entering school to become a Chiropractor. During this journey, he recognized that the learning challenges he grew up with did not need to be a roadblock in pursuing his education, but instead discovered how to learn in a way that worked for him. In hindsight, Dr. Jim wished that someone would have recognized this and offered to help at an earlier age. He realized this was a partial loss of his potential and through this experience decided to serve others with similar challenges. Setting Dr. Jim on his purpose & passion to help others reach their potential, offering hope using chiropractic adjustments to restore their neuro-physiology and proper brain-to-body connection. He examines, measures, and helps others recover, manage & heal from multiple conditions related to neurological deficits. In addition to being a certified neuro-pediatric chiropractor, Dr. Jim is a certified Webster Technique practitioner, working with pregnant clients to align Mom’s pelvis, baby position, and neurological function.
When we help Mom with pregnancy and passage, we can prevent children from neurological deficits and secure their potential.”
From Dr. Jim
“Growing up in the southwest, I enjoyed the southern California coast. I lived with my brother, Dr. Craig in Santa Monica, as he was attending chiropractic college. I was young, impressionable, and excited about life. I was influenced by these young passionate ‘soon-to-be doctors,’ and the conversations were very ‘unique and intriguing. It was about vitality, the potential of life, nutrition, attitudes, and lifestyle. I swallowed it up! I still think about those conversations today!
When I am not practicing chiropractic my love is for my family. My wife Heidi and I were married in 1985 and during our schooling, we had our first son. Heidi was still an intern in the student chiropractic health clinic. Sadly this birth was very traumatic and our son Nick had major complications. Nick experienced diaschisis, a neurological shock that put him into extreme fight or flight – excessive sympathetic neurological tone – which altered distant parts of his brain. Many other complications soon followed. As difficult as this was, it sent me on my path. This is the work I do today, helping other children with similar challenges using gentle neurofocused adjustments. Today Nick is a healthy, hard-working husband to Katrina and the father of our two grandchildren, Skyler and Bailey. We have four sons: Nick, Tyler, Cody & Kyle all living here in beautiful Colorado. As a family, we love to ski, camp, bowl, hike, kayak, and play pickleball.
I am committed to serving others – yes, to help with pain and discomfort – but mostly to restore neurological function and to show and instruct a way of living. Life may have its challenges, but if we BElieve in who we are, how we were created, and what a healthy lifestyle is, we can truly THRIVE. We can get to our ‘golden years’, and truly be golden! You are WONDERFULY made; you are EQUIPPED to succeed; you got this! BElieve in yourself… Your job is how you EAT, THINK, and MOVE, my job is to help restore neurological function in your spine and nervous system.
I have a great passion for all things natural, your potential, prenatal, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, so ask away! I thank Jesus every day for the opportunity to serve you and your family! I’m beyond excited to connect with you!”
Passionately serving you and your family,
Dr. Jim
